LI JIANHONG+ITTA+MARQIDO “see you new
world” 2pi CDR
CDR Collaborative improvisation between
artist from China, Korea, and Japan recorded in 2006 from
Osaka. Features Li Jianhong on electric guitar, Itta on vocals,
and Marqido on laptop. Audio is a mix of exotica guitar
interplay interspersed with computer glitching and vocals that
remind of a less painful Junko. Comes in a professional printed
sleeve with a screen printed disc face

pitting Li Jianhong’s guitar against Huang Jin on the

Scored a bunch of CD’s from
Suishounofune while they were visiting listed below from oldest
to newest. In general characteristics that transfer through all
the material is guitar/ guitar waves of ambient to fuzzed out
dark psychedelic rock from an impressive currently active Tokyo
husband wife duo.

Some recent correspondence with Masami
Kawaguchi yielded the purchase of some Miminokoto back catalog
titles. This 2005 studio release from the Tokyo trio shows a
different side to the Tokyo underground, not quite as psych and
fuzzed out as stuff like LSD March or Suishounofune but more
based in the realm of garage rock accompanied by the warbling
vocals of Masami.

2007 Circle full length release on their
own Finnish imprint Ektro records. A weird mix of synthesizer
more ambient driven songs with the middle tracks filled with
fast paced crusty hardcore sounding jams that would make mob47
proud. Actually I was very found of the thrashy sound tunes
just left scratching my head on the overall mix of material???

Guitar driven solo works from Brain
Daniloski of the Baltimore famous export Meatjack. Strongly
differing from other solo guitar noodlers by being more focused
on more conventional song structures rather then freeflow fuzz
and feedback, perhaps due to a much stronger background in the
fine arts of heavy and metal. If this guy toured I think
he’d take off a good bit. Comes in a nicely design
gatefold type sleeve with artwork from Kasner.
